So blessed!
Yesterday was a great day at our house. As some of you know, I'm a saver. I have saved every single bit of baby stuff and kid stuff that I've ever purchased... manuals and all. I've debated for a long time on what to do with it all, since getting pregnant hasn't worked for a long long time... (KNOCK ON WOOD) (TMI. Sorry) The hubby and I have discussed really stocking up on food storage, but had no where to store it... all our nooks and crannies had baby stuff...
Which brings us to yesterday. I had the hugest and greatest yard sale!! People came from 7am till 3pm. It was crazy. It was seriously crazy. (Spiritual side note- I've prayed and prayed over this situation. Friday night and Saturday I really prayed that Heavenly Father would help me know if this was right. I prayed for good attendance & the strength to let things go. I was firm on my prices & wouldn't let anything just "go.") I feel as though my prayers were answered through my street being lined with cars and so many people that were willing to pay what I wanted for my stuff! I can't even tell you how many people came back 2 or 3 times for more stuff! I only had one tiny box of stuff leftover to take to DI & Aaliyah (who had her own bake sale in my drive way) sold completely out of everything!!
Now that Aaliyah is 8, I've really decided to teach her about the importance of tithing. She's paid before, but it was more because I told her she needed to & not because she knew why & the history of the importance. We've had some awesome discussions about it... Today, she took her little envelope in hand to the Bishop. I'm so proud of her...
I feel as though the windows of heaven were opened at our humble little house. I feel so much peace. I feel so comforted. My testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been strengthened.

When Life gives you lemons...
That was the starting of my weekend. My eldest nephew was getting married and I had refinished some furniture for them. I was SO excited!! We were headed to Vernal when the yucky snow storm hit Utah. Long story short, we turned around and came back home. I was bummed. Really really bummed.
That's when we took those stupid lemons and made some mighty fine lemonade!!
When we got home, we decided to switch our winter clothes for our shorts and head to California... AWAY from the snow!
It was the most crazy fun spontaneous weekend ever!

of course, with the spontaneous nature of our trip, it just so happened that my battery on my camera was dead for half of the time....

I had the greatest time sharing my most favorite place on earth with my family!

Dreams and priorities
If I could have 3 simple wishes come true right now, my 1st one would be to have all of my chores magically and perfectly done for a few weeks without having to lift a finger.
My 2nd wish would be the time and patience to sit down and make this quilt...
And my 3rd would be the same for this quilt (x3. One for me, and one for each Grandma).

Someday my wishes will all come true, I hope...

Airport
On Friday, I decided to take a drive and check out the new St George airport. It's been open for almost a year... so I figured it was about time to see it for the first time. I know, right? The last person in Southern Utah to see the new airport is ME! ;)
The kids and I made a fun trip out of it. We parked. Went in. Bought a treat from the vending machine. and left. I can now say that I've been there. I know how to get there. It's beautiful. But, I must say, that my first impression was that it's little. I was expecting this big metro-area airport, I guess, because of all the hype. But, it's not. It's small, clean, quiet, and not too busy.
