SAVORING summer... or what's left of it.

I realized this morning, that there's exactly 2 weeks from today until school starts.
Only 2 weeks until my "baby" starts kindergarten. Life will never be the same as it is right now.

• So I decided to make a challenge for myself. Why not savor the rest of summer & really make an effort to do something fun everyday? My laundry will wait. My dishes will wait. Heaven only knows my dirty floors will wait. But my kids are growing up right before my eyes...and I can't make them stop and wait for me to me ready for them to older.

So today, being day 1: we made a chain to count down to the first day of school. A momentous occasion for them, a not-so-exciting adventure for me... I'm sure I'll enjoy it once I jump back into the routine. But hey, they're excited!
